long-term recovery committee
The Long Term Recovery (LTR) Committee is an extension of the Butler County Community Organizations Active in Disaster (COAD). After a disaster, the LTR Committee rally resources to help families put their lives back together. The Pine Cone tornado disaster was a catapult for the establishment of the LTR Committee. Since then, the LTR Committee has been active in a hundred-year ice storm and two floods in Butler County. Partners include, but not limited to, Butler County EMA, Butler County Health Department, Butler County Commissioners, MO Family Support and Children's Division, MO Department of Mental Health, Catholic Charities of Southern Missouri, United Gospel Rescue Mission, Poplar Bluff Police, and Fire Departments and Butler County Fire Department.
