The Children and Youth Succeeding in School Committee has combined with the Children Ready to Enter School Committee to create an Educational Enhancement Committee.

Math Counts Competition
Each Fall the Committee invites al 4th Grade Students in the Poplar Bluff School District to participate in our Math Counts Competition! This competition is a race on multiplication knowledge. The competition encourages students to study and makes learning fun!

Spelling Bee
The Committee hosts a 3rd Grade Spelling Bee for students in the Poplar Bluff School District each spring. Throughout multiple rounds of the competition, students perfect their spelling and each building announces their winner. The winner from each of the 4 Elementary Schools go head to head in a traditional Spelling Bee format, LIVE on the radio!

Book Distribution
The Educational Enhancement Committee promotes Early Literacy each year through a Book Distribution.
